Radio Boomerang first went on air on 13 June 1981, founded by a collective of associations in Roubaix. It now broadcasts on 89.7 FM, with a multicultural, intergenerational and non-commercial schedule. Some forty volunteers host it every day, from French chanson to rock, hip-hop and world music, and unknown artists are welcome. It also covers the community and cultural life of the Lille area.
